Observation tower on Suchý vrch
At the summit of Suchý vrch (995 m above sea level) stands an impressive concrete lookout tower, which is part of Kramář’s Chalet. It was built in 1931–1932 to a design by architect A. Patrmanna as a water tower, whose shape resembles a mushroom. The tower is 33 metres high, and the viewing platform at a height of 22 metres is reached by 130 steps. From the top, visitors enjoy a panoramic view of the Orlické Mountains, Králický Sněžník, the Jeseníky Mountains, the Kłodzko Basin, and in good conditions even the more distant Krkonoše Mountains.
On your way up to the observation tower, you can view an exhibition of historical photographs showing the lodge and the tower since 1926. The tower is open year-round from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and in the summer months until 7:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at the snack bar or at the reception of Kramář’s Lodge. The complex also includes an excellent restaurant, a wellness center, and accommodation.
